There are several meanings for the word “aloha.” Aloha can be used as a greeting or parting from someone, to say “hello” or “goodbye.” If you were to break down the word, “alo” means presence and “ha” means breath. This translates to “the presence of breath” or “the breath of life.” Aloha is also a way of living that values love, peace, compassion, and respect.
We want our products to be a greeting from us to you. We would like to say “hello” and build a relationship with our customers. When you open your package, we want it to feel like we are personally greeting you. Each item is hand selected, inspected, and cared for to ensure that your package is leaving our hands in brand new condition.
Whether you have visited the islands or not, we want to share a part of Hawaii and pass the aloha to you.
We are a small, independent, and family-owned retail business. In 1989, we started as a mom-and-pop kiosk in the "old" International Market Place in Honolulu, Hawaii (Waikiki).
In 2013, the former International Market Place that was filled with kiosks and small stores, closed for renovations to present today's "new" International Market Place. We were not able to stay but we were fortunate to fine new locations in the area.
COVID-19 has negatively impacted our business. After 30 years in business, we decided to launch a website for our customers. Although we had the idea of a website for years, this pandemic pushed us to put our idea into action.
